Yamaha has new Yamalube products for its watercraft and sport boats. Specifically designed for high-performance, four-stroke engines such as those in Yamaha’s WaveRunners, the 4W SAE 10W-40 oil is heavily fortified and contains additives to protect against wear and corrosion. The Yamalube 2W formula—designed for two-stroke engines—provides excellent lubrication and reduces the amount of visible smoke by as much as 50 percent, according to Yamaha. Not recommended for land-use vehicles or outboard motors, the oil comes in sizes ranging from 1-quart bottles to 55-gallon drums with prices starting around $5 a quart for the four-stroke oil and $9 per quart for the two-stroke product.
